Advantage Time
A tutorial session that will be held after class each Wednesday. The schedule is posted on the school website. This time is used to make up missing assignments or to receive extra support.
Students are given the opportunity to re-learn material they have missed on a unit test. Here is a list of information students need to know about recovering points on a unit test.
Completed Test Corrections allow the student the opportunity to take the recovery assessment. The recovery assessment (10 multiple choice questions) can earn a student up to 10 percentage points on their previous test.
1. Test Corrections (in the correct format) must be completed and turned in by the announced date (typically two days). Students who do not return their test after two days will receive a 0 for the assessment. Students cannot attempt the recovery assessment if they do not submit their test corrections.
2. A minimum of 3 times will be alloted for students to take the reassessment. The recovery assessment will consist of 10 multiple choice questions. Each question will be worth 1 percentage point.
3. A maximum of 10 percentage points will be added to the students test grade. A student can not make over 100%.
4. The student must complete the recovery assessment in one sitting. Once the assessment is turned in to the teacher, the assessment is considered complete.
